Our Drum Iris Interface can be easily Washed/Decontaminated in place by using:
- A simple spray gun
- Any common solvent compatible with the diaphragm elasmoter (EPDM or FKM)
- Warm/hot fluid temperature
What does an operator have to do to wash/decontaminate the Double Iris Interface Operator?
To Wash/Decontaminate the Double Iris Interface Operator has just to:
- Open the Outer Iris leaving the inner one still closed
- Introduce the IRIS Cap over the Inner Closed Iris
- Open the Inner Iris (relaxing the diaphragm elastomer allowing full access to its surfaces entirely)
- By using the Spray Gun wash any exposed internal and external surface
- Close the Inner IRIS and wash the surface in contact with the isolation chamber
- Inject Compressed Air or Nitrogen to facilitate the Iris/Chamber drying, eventually
- Remove the Cap and close the Outer IRIS
- Ready to the next Manufacturing Batch
