Our Drum Iris Interface can be easily Cleaned In Place following a Pre-defined Validated Cycle using:

  • A Conductive Rotating Spray Ball
  • Any common solvent compatible with the diaphragm elastomer (EPDM or FKM)
  • Warm/hot fluid temperature

How CIP does it work?

The operator’s role:

  1. Open the Outer Iris leaving the inner one still closed
  2. Introduce the IRIS Cap over the Inner Closed Iris
  3. Open the Inner Iris (relaxing the diaphragm elastomer allowing full access to its surfaces entirely)
  4. Push the CIP cycle Push button
  5. When required (a message on the control system HMI) close the Inner IRIS
  6. Rotating spray ball could flush the surface in contact with the isolation chamber
  7. CIP Cycle automatically Injects Compressed Air or Nitrogen to facilitate the Iris/Chamber drying
  8. Wait for the end of CIP cycle
  9. Remove the Cap and close the Outer IRIS
  10. Ready to the next Manufacturing Batch
